Sandburg's advanced industrial maintenance certificate helps you prepare for initial or improved employment in the industry mechanical area with basic principles and skills needed for industrial maintenance, such as drafting/blueprint reading, electricity, hydraulics and pneumatics, machine tool, mathematics and fundamentals of welding.

CAREERS IN INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE
The Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates industrial machinery mechanics, machinery maintenance workers and millwrights will see an employment growth of 5% from now to 2028. The increase in advanced machinery and automation, including the use of many computer-controlled machines, will require more trained mechanics and millwrights.

Sandburg offers courses in a variety of formats to best fit your needs. Regardless of the format, make sure you have access to a reliable computer with high-speed internet. All courses use online resources and require you to access course information through mySandburg. The Galesburg and Carthage campuses have open computer labs for your use as a student.
